ERIE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 45-year-old Sandusky man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident early Thursday morning.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash that happened around 12:15 a.m. on State Route 2 near U.S. 6.
According to troopers, John Dugan III was eastbound on the State Route 2 entrance ramp from U.S. 6 when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the road and overturned.
EMS transported Dugan to Firelands Hospital and he was then taken by medical helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Dugan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, added troopers.
