87-year-old Parma woman dies in 2 car crash in Hinckley

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - An 87-year-old Parma woman was killed in a two car crash in Hinckley Wednesday afternoon.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Herta Haut was driving westbound on Bellus Road at State Route 3 around 1:10 p.m. when she failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a Ford Edge.
The driver of the Ford was southbound on State Route 3.
Haut was transported to Brunswick Cleveland Clinic where she was pronounced deceased.
The 72-year-old driver of the Ford Edge was transported to Medina Cleveland Clinic with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers identified him as James Slough, of North Royalton.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and drugs and or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash, added troopers.
