MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - An 87-year-old Parma woman was killed in a two car crash in Hinckley Wednesday afternoon.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Herta Haut was driving westbound on Bellus Road at State Route 3 around 1:10 p.m. when she failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a Ford Edge.

The driver of the Ford was southbound on State Route 3.

Haut was transported to Brunswick Cleveland Clinic where she was pronounced deceased.

The 72-year-old driver of the Ford Edge was transported to Medina Cleveland Clinic with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers identified him as James Slough, of North Royalton.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and drugs and or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash, added troopers.
