Ohio State A.D. Gene Smith stepping down

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith is stepping down at the end of June 2024.
Smith has been the OSU A.D. for 18 years, leading one of the most successful athletic programs in America.
Smith, 67, is a Cleveland native who played for Notre Dame’s 1973 national championship football team.
