CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A fan stormed the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit stage while Machine Gun Kelly was speaking, and the incident was caught on camera.

MGK took the 2023 summit stage from 4:40-5 p.m. on Oct. 10 for “A Playbook To Building An Empire: Town Hall With Machine Gun Kelly.

Forbes described the Town Hall as such:

“Grammy-nominated musician and Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly takes the stage to discuss venturing into entrepreneurship and impacting culture in music, food, fashion and beauty. In this fireside chat, MGK shares how he’s expanding his empire with Cleveland-based coffee brand and restaurant The 27 Club and all gender nail lacquer brand UN/DN LAQR.”

In the midst of talking about The 27 Club coffee shop, a fan charged across the stage toward MGK, who instantly jumped out of his seat.

“My man, yo... What are you doing? What are you doing?” MGK asked the fan, who then raised his arm in hopes of shaking his hand. “This is a bad look. Don’t make me do this. Don’t make me do this, bro.”

Nine seconds after the fan got on stage, he was lifted off the ground by security and carried away.

Interviewer Kristin Stoller then asked MGK if he was okay, to which he responded, “You know what? Maybe that was a good idea for him ’cause maybe he had a great idea. Actually, that makes me tunnel into something else...” before the crowd laughed.

The worrying moment was caught on camera by Megan G, @megan_1316, on X.

Anyone who has listened to Machine Gun Kelly knows he’s from Cleveland, and his city honored him right back with a holiday in his namesake.

Arguably no artist sings about their hometown more than multi-award-winning Machine Gun Kelly... “Cleveland” and “Till I Die” are just two of the songs that explicitly state his pride.

Even when he’s not performing, fans can still get a taste of MGK at his 27 Club Coffee shop in The Flats East Bank, which also serves food, smoothies, and cocktails.

Colson Baker was known as Machine Gun Kelly before he even graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2008.

Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, who also spoke at the Forbes summit, made the proclamation official on August 13, 2022, just hours before MGK took the stage in front of a sold-out crowd at the Cleveland Browns Stadium (which was then called FirstEnergy Stadium).
