Police: 2 brothers fatally shot at Bedford Heights restaurant

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Police are investigating a shooting that left two brothers dead in Bedford Heights.

BHPD tells 19 News the shooting occurred at around 2 a.m. at the A Touch of Italy restaurant, located at 23333 Aurora Rd.

BHPD confirms the victims were brothers and both died at the hospital.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the brothers as 21-year-old Joshua Cunningham and 22-year-old Dominic Cunningham, both of Solon.

BHPD says there was an altercation prior to the shooting.

“Information gathered indicates there was a disturbance inside the bar and several individuals were escorted out. Those individuals are believed to be the same parties that engaged in an altercation in the parking lot resulting in the victims being shot, It has not been determined if the two incidents were connected,” Bedford Heights police say in a press release sent out Saturday night.

A nearby resident said he heard multiple gunshots.

“I just thought it was fireworks or something,” he said.

BHPD says the suspects, who remain unidentified, are still on the run.

Currently, detectives are searching for a person of interest in the shooting, pictured below.
