Cleveland firefighter bitten by cat while fighting house fire on city’s West side

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland firefighters were called out to a house fire just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

The fire was located in the 3200 block of W. 114th Street.

This is in the city’s West Boulevard neighborhood.

The resident was able to escape safely.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury after being bitten while rescuing one cat. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
According to firefighters, the fire began on the third floor.
